I think this is the same plane as BD-5 KR2S Formation flight (4WMIB5xbdAI) (it was in primer color then). Built by David Mischke of Sedro Woolley, WA. Shown in the same color (seen here) on page 86 of July 2010 Sport Aviation magazine (EAA). N525BD. Has 130hp Yamaha Nytro engine, max speed 215 mph. Rare to power a BD-5 above 40 to 80 hp. This is NOT a jet. But there are BD-5J (jet) versions all over the USA.
BD-5J was the jet version I noticed a BD-micro company selling kits with a turbine prop version. the BD-5J got 2400 FPM climb, 400 Mile range, and load it in a trailer and take it home with you is remarkable. I think I read the Jet version at the time had very little support from the jet engine manufacture. I think today with all the microjets being produced things could be different.
Those engines do that a lot on take off. They call them good anchor weights. Can you post a video of you stalling it for a softer landing like you say? Do it Actual, not sim to show how good it is to stall at say 50' on take off. Can't wait.
@CFITOMAHAWK2 I didn't hear anything about losing an engine on take off? He could have been doing a low pass, and struck the prop. Notice the gear where UP. It doesn't matter how long the runway in front of you is, if you are to low to lower the gear. Slowing the aircraft down and stalling is a good thing to do in this case, to make a softer belly landing. Also account that the BD-5 glides like a rock. As for practicing on a sim, what sim? It's a home built aircraft. Everyone one is different.
Pilot experiencing back pains he said. He lost engine on take off and stalled it. Just a normal landing in USA after loosing engine on take off. That is a huge runway to land ahead instead of stalling so the "experienced pilot" statement is contradicted by the stall here. Not practicing those forced landings on sim at least?

@CFITOMAHAWK2
You said in the USA. I'm not sure why. Do you know something about the history of this particular plane or the pilot? Thanks.

You can find the jet version by searching bd-5j. You can actually buy the jet as a kit
For $55,000.
