I had a relative whose child was dying at home from an illness and the doctor called them everyday to give them support and did not charge them in the end. He also attended the funeral and sent flowers and wrote a lovely note to the family. There are many unsung hero doctors here in the US who never get the credit they deserve.

This is great, because dignity is a big part of the medical process. When I ran into the emergency room last week with a lobster on my penis, I could have used a lot of dignity, but was given none, and that's what really hurt. Well that, and the lobster on my penis.
