@czwij At the end of the day just about all these cars were beyond restoration. Best to go out in a blaze of glory and entertainment than by sitting rotting away in the corner of a scrap yard.

Some of them are a lump of metal that has had a lot of time and money lavished on them. They are relatively easy to find???? I'm sure if I go out for the day in a mk1 Granada coupe and return to the car park to find it gone, when it is driven pointlessly into the back of another stationary car on a banger track it will be considered more than easy.

Ok I hold an HNC in engineering and am a sales director for a national company, I dont consider myself to be a chav and have an iq of more than bottle of Stella. But i enjoy racing these classics! If they are such classics why is it possible for us to find them relatively easily? Because when we find them it takes 3 weeks of welding just to make them safe enought to race. If they were so important why aren't they all preserved? Because at the end of the day they are just a lump of metal! Grow up
