  • Atleast after I want revenge recovers he can be a breeding stallion or a riding horse

  • It depends on the individual. That is like saying people shouldn't own pets because some people abandon their pets for foolish reasons like not wanting to take the time or getting bored...plus, a lot of horses are retired to broodmare or stud, there is also a new program to get the horses back to their original breeders. Also, horses can be sold as riding horses, donated to therapeutic riding clinics, etc.

  • It's abuse when animals are used for the sole purpose of money. They are treated very well(better than some humans) until they stop making money...when they stop making money they are cast off to horrible conditions.

  • I hope that is faux fur. Wish Barbaro's trainer would have been so observant. I'd think the biggest nightmare would be to get to raceday and have a horse become injured due to my negligence and greed instead of for having to scratch a race.

  • how is it abuse when they get better care than a house pet, they are athletes, just like any human that plays a sport professionally

  • Ah well, Mullins had taken to wearing a black hat in the weeks before the Derby anyway, to the point that even Bob Baffert told him to lose it. ~ Fer

  • Horse racing is horse abuse.
