在全国大专辩论会工委会主催下，马华的两名代表，拿督翁诗杰（马华副总会长）与魏家祥博士（马青总秘书）与民主行动党的两名辩手，倪可敏律师（社青团总团长）及邓章钦律师­（民主行动党全国中委）在星洲日报总社，于超过3000名现场观众的见证下，展开了我国政坛上近年来难得一见的正面交锋。
