http://www.makeraw.com | MMMM!! sorry for the blurry video...didn't catch that while I was shooting.

For this recipe you need the following:

Nut bag
blender
coconut meat
soaked almonds (24 hours)
cacao powder (raw chocolate)
agave syrup to taste
filtered water

blend the coconut meat and almonds together. I used the meat of one young coconut and about 10 almonds. You can do what ever ratio you like. Almonds and coconut go together so you can't make a mistake here.

Blend until a gloppy mess.

Pour into a nut bag and squeeze out the milk. I've never milked a cow but it makes me feel like I have.

Take your milk mixture and put bag into a rinsed out blender. Add cacao powder. Again to your taste....less for light chocolate milk...more for darker chocolate milk.

Agave syrup to taste.

Blend and serve. YUM YUM YUM. Imagine a frozen banana and heaven would engulf your senses. Without the banana this milk is super thick and creamy and delicious.

Enjoy!

  • Absolutely I love dates and they are a great way to cut down on refined sweeteners. I made my chocolate pudding last night and used the syrup from my soaked dates along with one whole soaked date as the sweetener. Oh and I added raw powdered stevia leaves too. Yummy. :)

  • @markcossin how long to soak dates please?

  • @midcitygym a few hours will do but I keep a batch in the fridge soaking just so I have them ready to go for smoothies or what ever.

  • I made something similar but instead of the agave syrup i used medjool dates to sweeten the drink...it also gives it a sort of caramel taste. Very Yummy!
