I just got into reenacting and i hope i can make shiloh this year.

I reenact myself and those are 400 to 600 dollar rifles.. so no not paintball or airsoft..

I imagine the reaction to a Volley like that would be somehting similar but with less laughing. It is fun when you capture a moment like that at a reenactment. :)

Depending on how big a re-enactment is you can take hits like that, but if the event is too small like 200 even you have to be frugal with your casualties rate. You don't want two hundred dead after ten minutes of the battle when a small re-enactment battle supposed to last 30 to an hour long. Wouldn't be fun or interesting if you ask me.

This wasn't a small reenactment at all. Our battalion was the second wave in the assault. The third wave was broken up similar to ours, but more fragmented. We had actually assaulted it once before that and the wave here was what was left of our battalion.
