Carnival Sensation & Carnival Conquest ships rendezvous

Carnival Conquest passing by on the Mississippi River just upriver from Venice, Louisiana on Sunday, August 7, 2005. We were on Carnival Sensation on the final night of the 4 day cruise to Cozumel and going upriver back to New Orleans. Carnival Conquest was just starting its 7 day cruise from New Orleans to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Who would have imagined that in exactly three weeks after this video was taken that Hurricane Katrina would almost wipe Venice (where you see all the lights) off the map and Carnival Conquest would relocate to Galveston, Texas. I'm so happy to hear that Carnival will bring back Carnival Conquest in November 2011 so I could once again witness another Carnival Cruise Lines ships rendezvous on the Mississippi River!

i love going on cruises out of New Orleans. i've taken 4 cruises and 3 of them have been out of New Orleans. but that was beautiful sight, thanks for sharing. :)

Im so sad. I just got back from the Carnival Sensation:( I am so sad 2days on a cruise not fair:( My mom said thats enough to tick people off:( Well..I got to go seach for a 7night st.tomas cruise out of Port of Miami...I have neaver been out of Miami Everyone one of my 3cruises when out of port canavral

i actually just got back from a cruise on the Sensation today (Bahamas). Ive been on the Sensation, Fantasy, and Glory, i find the Sensation a little small personally, same as the Fantasy. Now the Glory is a nice ship =D

I've been on both ships. That Conquest is one great ship. I am fortunate enough to live only 4.5 hours from New Orleans. At this writing, the Conquest's home port is Galveston, Texas and Sensation ports at Port Canaveral, Florida. I wish the Conquest would return to New Orleans. I love cruising!!
