  • whats the mumbling thing at the end of the recording? It's on the album too. It sounds like German?

  • @crimsonhawk52 It's something backwards, but I couldn't figure it out

  • @claustraphobix From Steve Wiest: We had the fun idea of including something "Beatle-esque" at the end of this one. Since we already had the low-piano triad ringing forever (ala "A Day in The Life") we took Sylvester's (tenor solo) voice, played it backwards and put it in the background ala George Martin. If you play what we recorded backwards, you will decode the message. It doesn't say "Paul is dead"...but that's the idea. During that time BTW Sylvester's nickname was "Slyclops" FYI.

  • @crimsonhawk52 See the reply to claustraphobix...

  • What an arrangement! .... Steve is a genius!

  • @MrPovedajr From Steve Wiest: Thanks! (I blush) I wrote this as a jaw-dropping "I can't believe they just payed that" style closer. It is based on my musical impressions of the Ice-Nine crystal from Kurt Voneggut's "Cat's Cradle" A must-read for relaxing bedtime fare:) Thanks, and so glad you dig the chart.

  • This is amazing! Holy crap; the Trombone lines at the beginning are SO FAST. I can't believe we get to be conducted by Steve in BCMEA.

  • @Playapusdude From Lab 2009 until the present, all North Texas projects have utilized the highly regarded Neumann KM 84. This is a vintage microphone no longer available for sale by Neumann. It was replaced by the KM 184. Our engineer, Phil Bulla really likes the warm sound the original Neumanns got, and I agree! Thanks for your question! Are you into sound engineering?
