Here's my rendition of the Wabash Cannonball played on a cookie tin banjo I made a couple years ago. The action's a bit high, which gives me a little trouble (especially when combined with my lackluster skill!). The banjo is tuned, plus or minus, to Open G (the non-geared pegs are a little tricky). It also uses a homemade piezo pickup and preamp located inside the cookie tin.
My Dad once had a prewar frailing banjo, your banjo sounds just like it! Great job!!!

@0713mas Thanks! They don't have to be fancy, that's for sure... though hopefully the next one I make will be.

@FlatfootJohnny Thanks! Yes, I did make the neck. It's made from hardware store poplar with a red oak fretboard. I strung it with nylon, and would probably keep it that way since there's no truss rod. Peghead overlay and "backstrap" are both made of iron-on oak veneer. I made the neck more like a "real" neck in that it doesn't pass through the pot, but rather is bolted on via the heel, much like a "full-up" banjo. In fact, it does use a single homemade coordinator rod... very overkill.
