@astroandyborgloh no he's saying he worked without getting any money because he had to prepare for the stuff so long... he's probably been in a couple different bands in those years so he had to get into it before starting to rehearse with them

@astroandyborgloh-Because in the real music world, that's just how it goes sometimes. Gigs come and they go. Maybe the show or the tour are over, maybe the band that hired you breaks up, maybe family/life obligation demand your attention, maybe somebody just throws bad politics your way, maybe your equipment gets stolen, or a car accident. A million legitimate reasons this happens. You just have to get on with it.
