That is one sweet axe there. Hate to hear your parting with it though. Got one similar to this one and have thought of swapping the tuners out with locking tuners. Which ones did you have on this one? And is that a Callaham trem system also? Cheers.

Does sound good! I have DG20's thrown into a squire at the moment (until I find a better donor) and they are a different animal to standard pups. Very articulate, and clear. That mid boost makes 'em creamy too, get that Neil young live in Berlin tone with a bit of a twiddle.
So why you parting?

I'm jealous:). That particular combination with emg DG20 pickups in a CAR hot rod 57 RE strat, is one of my dream axes.

Love your music, very nice piece, congrats.
Hmmm, lemme guess, . . . you love Stratocaster and Floyd . . .

sweet tone (and licks)
Not a Callahan block but a cold rolled one. Sperzel tuners much better than the fender lockers.

what is the difference between the 57 reissue and this 57 hot road stratocaster?
Thank you

@Luxdg hi. The hot rod has a slimmer v neck and flatter radius with jumbo frets; i.e. easier to play bend and add vibrato. Also a satin finish on back of neck; not sticky like the stratight 57. The hot rod came with scn and dimarzio pickups which I swapped for emgs. Tthin nitro celulose finish, vintage contours - much more defined and smoother than modern strats. checkt fender.com for specs of the 57 reissue and the hot rod. cheers Howard
