Can any one explain, what is the difference between SLI and CROSS FIRE . If I'm not wrong one belongs to INTEL and others to AMD .
And is it any difference between SLI and CROSS FIRE CABLES

THERE'S NVIDIA 3-WAY SLI, THEN THERE'S NVIDIA 3-WAY HYBRID SLI.

I got a gtx 460 can i buy a Sli bridge and do this? Will i have to do sometjing with the cars before im able to put on the sli bridge??

um well, I don´t have two GTX 470, but if I get two Nvidia cards in the future I want to make sure I have enough power. I already payed 1800 SEK for a corsair HX 850 in january and would get pissed if I had to buy a new one to make sure it would be future proof. Now I have a ATI 5870 Vapor-X.

SLI is short for Scalable Link Interface. SLI is proprietary to Nvidia graphics cards and is a method of allowing two graphics cards of the same model to be linked and share the load of rendering the graphics on screen. Using two graphics cards linked via SLI greatly improves the performance of the system by rendering the graphics faster. Often up to a 2 times improvement is seen.
