    I think Dio was way more skilled than Gillan as a singer and song writer. Fact of the matter is Dio could still sing at 67 years old, Gillan hasnt been able to sing for years and I've seen them both a couple times.

    Black Sabbath puts out music like this after Ozzy left? AND they did the stuff with Dio also... Totally wicked.

    Ian Gillan is clearly the best vocalist in Black Sabbath history (technically), in fact, he is, at least, top 5 in rock and roll history.

    But, in my opinion, Dio and Ozzy fit better in Black Sabbath than Gillan, even they being less skilled than Gillan. To be honest, Ozzy, the worst of the 3 that i mentioned, is the real voice of Black Sabbath in my opinion, because it was with him that Black Sabbath turned in the Rock and Roll legends they are and the most famous songs are with his voice.

    bought the album when it came out. seen the concert... and all these years,i thought i was the only one who thought IAN GILLIAN was perfect for SABBATH!!! good to be wrong sometimes..... not saying anything bad about OZZY and DIO either... seen them with SABBATH and solo concerts. blown away everytime!! but GILLIAN just had an awesome vocal range.. just my two cents..
