Actually depends. Some highways have a minimum speed... and it is highly dangerous to take one of these on the highway but there are conversion kits that are easy to install and uninstall that can get the seed up towards 60 mph... even so.... dangerous and not good for the engine to hold high speeds. Would not want too anyway as such milage is not good for an old vehicle. I trailor my jeep for any long trip. Shorter trips I take back routes.

@GoneGuru99 it might be a little slow, and very windy, but if you have seatbelts on and all the lights work its perfectly legal to drive anywhere!
-
This may be a dumb question,
but can you take it on the highway?
-
24 volt? hell the 9n was what 6 volt? you needed a conversion to 12 volt!
-
how much does a paint job like this cost? i've got a high mileage 95 wrangler so i don't want to spend too much on it but i think it would be more than awesome

I've had Jeeps, Land Cruisers and a Dodge 1 ton over the year and have been running a 1948 CJ-2A Willys for over 12 years but am not familiar with the designation "Hotchkiss."
What makes it a Willys-Hotchkiss?
Thanks in advance.
Oh Yea. That is one very VERY Sweet Jeep. Makes my daily driver 2A look like a P.O.S......(-;

Willy's? Hotchkiss? I'm thinking its a Willy's as its got the US markings. I'd love one of these jeeps as my surname is Hotchkiss
