OK, I need to respond to those closed minded wanna bes out there. It takes EXTREME hard work get even a tenth of the waay Virgil has paved for drummers to take. The problem is pussies who say hes stupid or humiliating come along and think they know everything, but they probably have NEVER tried to do what hes done because of one fact: They CANT. Try actually thinking of different rhythmic perspectives instead of showing jealousy one of the best drummers in the fucking world!!

I honestly think Virgil's the most dynamic drummer who ever lived, amongst the best all around players too.
It's nearly impossible some of the stuff he does.

I personally think those high suspended toms are kind of silly, but that's just me. People like Virgil Donati make me wish I was a drummer

yes, it is..

Isnt it awesome that even if this is bacicly a techical show-off he still makes it groove and sound so musical??

The feet to the side on the pedals might be because he might hit two pedals at once, so he angels his feet that way. But thats my opinion.

My friend does the inverse of that, angled feet with both pedals flat (left and right bass drum pedals) this is so that he gets a full range of motion in his foot stroke, ie. when he kicks the pedal, his foot is not stopped by the pedal, it keeps moving. I'd imagine this'd be something similar.

TREMENDO HIJUEPUTA
In the beginning he's doing 4, 5, 6, and 7 with his rf, lf, rh, and lh respectively - all with the same downbeat. Insanity on display. Can anyone tell me what's the significance of playing with your feet sideways on the pedals?
