@Duffman2011TUT The german empire has or should has the full "Lied der Deutschen" as anthem till today, but it hasnt institutions. So, the german empire is not capable of acting.
The FRG is a state in the state.
I think it is something different, than the german empire, but thats a grey zone.
But whatever, it doesnt matter you mean the german empire or the FRG.
You are wrong.
Till 1991 the FRG had the full "Lied der Deutschen" as anthem.

Only since 1991 the 3rd stanza is the FRG-anthem.

@Duffman2011TUT No.
Like I wrote:
"It is very controversial, whether the german empire and the FRG are identical or different states."
The german empire never surrendered.
The SHEAF-laws at 1945 were for reorganizing the german territory and make military governments on it.
because of this the german empire and the FRG have different constitutions. Or should have. That is controversial, too.

@Jonnymur i'm sorry, but i have to correct you
1945-today: 3rd stanza of the "Lied der Deutschen"
Duffman2011TUT 2 days ago
@Slashplite
Anthem:
1871 - 1922: "Lied der Deutschen", "Die Wacht am Rhein" and "Heil dir im Siegerkranz"
1922 - 1933: "Lied der Deutschen"
1933 - 1945: 1. stanza of the "Lied der Deutschen" and the "Horst-Wessel-Lied"
1945-today: "Lied der Deutschen"
Because the uploader specialized the german empire between 1871 and 1918, it is totally correct.
Jonnymur 3 days ago
@Slashplite The german empire existed from 1871 - (juridical) today and (practically) 1945.
Flag:
1871 - 1918: black-white-red
1919 - 1933: black-red-gold
1933 - 1935: black-white-red
1935 - 1945: black-white-red ("swastika")
1945 - today: black-red-gold
It is very controversial, whether the german empire and the FRG are identical or different states.
