We were boating on Alum Creek on 8/25/07 when a tornado warning was broadcast over the radio. I began filming what I thought might be the actual tornado! I think it was just a funnel though... The sighting was reported in the same area though.

  • What radio station was that?

  • I can't remember exactly but it was probably QFM96, 99.7 The Blitz, or 107.1 The Big WAZU. WAZU is gone though and The Blitz is now a pathetic version of QFM96's classic rock called The Rock.

  • theres a storm and your out boating, your the highest point on the water, likely to get hit by lightning.

  • Yeah I totally get what you're saying but there was no rain, no lightning, no sirens. I just happened to turn on the radio to hear the warning and saw the cloud in the sky!!! We were out there w/ tons of other boaters and as you can see, a class for beginning kayakers! It was practically a fluke accident waiting to happen!

  • Update: It was just a wall cloud and not the actual tornado, per weatherman, Jim Ganahl. It was a view of the back of the storm. Also, the warning sirens did not sound in this area, which I hope has now been fixed. As you can see, there was a school of kayakers right next to us!

  • Not a funnel.

  • I appreciate your THOROUGH EXPERTISE!!! LOL! You are right though. The local meteorologist called it a wall cloud. /wol klowd/

  • @ashlanas You are correct sir, if you are not from Ohio and you spend enough time in Ohio you will learn this. It still has not yet snowed in the middle of summer yet but i bet it will one day.

  • @ZacyG You have to understand Ohio weather...it is all messed up!! It probably snowed the next day ;)

I remember that i was trapped in the basement

My dad and older brother went out to find it.

    theyre weirdos!

  • They don't make the P-50 (or T-135AC in this case) anymore which is somewhat of a bummer because it's such a spooky sounding siren. They would be installing the newer T-135AC/DCs if they win the bid.

  • loudest on the marker that is mostlikly american signal they clame they make the loudest on the market porbably a p-50

  • no ever heard of a water spout are you kidding? tha safest place to be during a tornado is behind it
