No, that is a switchblade. The one's YOUR talking about is called an OTF (Out The Front) blade. It uses a slide to release and retract the blade. Classic Stiletto's (My fav) has the blade swing to the top, not straight out.

that not a switchblade a switch pops straight out that is a spring assist
-
really nice work but sorry mate that blade design is horrible :D

@YourFantasyForLife the one your saying is a otf (out of the front) theres 5 other types there is a spring asisted were you can open it like a reguler knife or pull a litle pin thing on the back of the knife and theres a one the clock spring switchblabe like the one here.theres a locking backspring switchblade.a fulcrum lever switchblade.and a pullspring switchblade. i feel smart now.

hey thats pretty cool how'd ya make it lol
-
better than Popsicle sticks

blades slide in a switchblade, that one flips, in a real switchblade you press a button, and the blade slides out the top, kinda like a ballistic knife, but the blade doesnt shoot. dont mean to sound like a prick just givin ya some helpful facts :P

Verry nice! Where did you put the back end of the spring, and how do you get the lever to flip it out to work?
