Philip Glass (1937-) needs no introduction from me. This is the published piano version of a track from his Oscar-nominated score to the 2002 Stephen Daldry film about Virginia Woolf and her novel 'Mrs. Dalloway', which starred Nicole Kidman. The piano version conveys pretty well the feel of the orchestral version. On the soundtrack, one or two pairs of bars in the 'coda' are repeated and I have followed that here, even though the repeats are not indicated in the score. This piece is a very good exemplar of Glass's individual style.

  • This seems so breezy when you play it, but I keep struggling with some parts... you make it look easier than it is, which definitely militates in favor of your playing :-)

  • @AvaPozen Merci beaucoup!

  • Quelle merveille!

  • @Annodomino2007 Thank you. Playing this is all about being relaxed and using wrists and arms as well as fingers (in my opinion at least!).
