After fixing this Bjärton Isabella-guitar it kind of woke up after a long sleep - happily playing it "all the time".

  • I have a sleepy Isabella sounding nothing like yours, what did you do to wake it? :-)

  • @vikingbeard Nice to know that you have such a treasure, too. I carefully made bridge (with defferent lenghts of strings and trumper shaped slot-ends in the saddle) and saddle from "TUSQ" to my Isabella - it did only good! I started to play guitar with this very instrument in about 1970, after this I've had plenty of guitars, but nowadays I use Isabella a lot. From which year is your guitar, and is it made in Norway or Sweden? Mine is from 1961.

  • Hello Vega !! I love samba too !! I just recorded a new version of La Media Luna , from my very good friend Julio Cesar Oliva, he has writen for me several pieces. He gives me the melodies, usually in 3 voices, and the voicing of the harmony....he lets me do the rest : rhithm( i dont know how to write this), bass, hand clapping, escales, and whatever. I mention this because here I use the tumbao, in combination with samba.

  • @andablues Tumbao is like travelling - which I like, and samba is moving around. I am from the north and always want to travel to the south . . .

  • Super , j'adore

    BRAVO CONGRATULATION

  • Merci beaucoup!

  • @violeirosurbanos Thanks! from VegaLeyffinen (VesmarTejttinen or Vesa Teittinen)

  • @shanecohn1 That is excactly the same guitar as I have on this video. Beautiful, but not very big sound - nice guitar which I enjoy playing nearly every day even if I have few others.

  • @simonrabenhoej Hi, sorry for not answering to you before. Thanks for a very nice comment. I cannot anymore use this VegaLeyffinen account, but I have a new one: VesmarTejttinen, welcome. About Bjärton Isabella: If you didn't by it yet, I warmly recomment you to do so - although the sound is not big, but it is quite nice instrument - the prize isn't too high either. Try to find other Bjärton models, too, like Espana. Old Yamahas - from 70-80 - sound excellent, too.

  • Your playing is wonderful - are the arrangements yours? :-) I´m looking for a guitar for my girlfriend and have been offered to buy a Bjarton Isabella for 350 Danish Kroner. She´s a totally beginner, would you recommend this for her - or should i stick to the "santana or Yamaha" cheap models?I hope to find something much better used, instead of buying cheap new instruments in a bad quality :-)

  • I just acquired a 1961 Hagstrom Bjarton Isabella. Any info on the guitar?

  • Great arrangement! Thumbs up!

    Greetings from Brazil!
