Rednecks don't understand credit and live way outside their means. Hillbillies know how to live within their means and do understand credit. That's why they aren't crying over the economy being shitty.

Rednecks don't own anything. Their mortgage companies and credit card companies own it all.

what about Redneck vs Country People? i know there's a difference between them too as well. Country people is like a hillbilly but dont live on the hills and all that. Country person like me is nice and intelligent unless ya make me ad,: i'll punish ya but wont kill if i see ya stealin. rednecks just like plain fightin, bullyin, be 3 on 1, 6 on1 or 10 on 3, thats how i know what a redneck is some rednecks are good some aint, but they got the same ol thing is too hate. country people got respect

I agree. Just to add to what you said. Rednecks and hillbillies do have a lot in common. But I think rednecks are into having fun and blowing off steam more so than hillbillies maybe because we have more funds to do it with. Rednecks like to tinker with stuff and make something creative out of junk just to see if we can, where as hillbillies do it out of necessity. Maybe the true difference is money. Tricked out Camero=Redneck, just trying to keep the old pick up truck road worthy=Hillbilly.
