From what I've read, this is ACADIAN, as opposed to CAJUN, music.
Yes, I know Cajuns descended from Acadians, and the the word Cajun is derived from the word Acadian, but if I understand correctly, Acadians and Cajuns are distinct ethnic groups.
This sounds a lot like a lot of Cajun music I've heard.

@fiugd C'est une chanson merveilleuse! I think that Lucille Starr's recording was the inspiration for all the modern recordings of this song, and you can hear it on YouTube. Be sure to hear the version by Lee Benoit and the Bayou Stompers, also on YouTube. It's a very modern Cajun recording. Does anyone know if Jimmy C. Newman (of the Grand Ole Opry) ever recorded this tune?
