Two Different Worlds Collide [ch 1]

-Cassie time to wake up!- I heard my dad yell from down stairs. -Youre gonna be late for your first day of school!- I groaned and put the pillow over my head. I got comfortable again only to feel a swift thump on my back from my pillow.

-What the hell!- I yelled as I got up. I looked and saw my older brother Michael with an evil smirk. I squinted my eyes and glared at him.

-Get up. If you want a ride I suggest you hurry.- He began to walk out of my room before turning around one more time. -And please look decent. I love you little sis but lets start fresh ok.-

I rolled my eyes and headed to the shower. Knowing mike hell DEFINITELY leave me here. I got out and looked at myself in the mirror. New school. I should be able to start fresh right? I sighed and brushed my long hair. I guess I should be used to feeling invisible. No one knew me at my old school what difference would it make not knowing anyone over here? I walked into my room and looked around at the piles of boxes, bins, bags and piles of junk. We just moved in and I havent settled yet. I changed into some jeans, a tshirt and my favorite comfy vans. I looked at myself one more time. As good as it gets I said to myself and headed down the stairs to meet my brother who looked at me .

-Is this as good as it gets Cass?- I nodded yes and he just sighed. -Fine lets go.-

We both headed out the door and got into his car. Him being the senior, gets to drive his car to school. I hope that next year on my bday I can get my license. Until then Im on my bros schedule. But hes not like typical brothers. He actually LIKES me. Hes a little over protective if you ask me but I know he does it because he loves me.

-look Cass, its a new year. A fresh start. Why dont you try to be a little more..social?- he looked at me and smiled. -you should really let people see what a great girl you are-

I smiled up at him. -thanks, but Ive done perfectly fine being invisible.- I said pulling out my sketch pad.-

-its that damn gift of yours. thats all you do. You hide and just draw. dont get me wrong, youre amazing, but I think you should do something besides that.-

-like what?-

-I dunno, sports- he shrugged.

I laughed -I am the most uncoordinated person on earth! Ill leave the sports thing for you buddy. Besides did you make the team?- I asked curiously.

My brother the football stud. He is a legend at our old high school. So you can only imagine what a commotion he caused when we found out we were moving to California. My dad got a job offer over here he just couldnt pass. My dad being a local legend himself stirred up some gossip too. I just went along for the ride. I had nothing to lose.

-I dunno yet. The coach wanted to talk to me today after school.-

-Im pretty sure you made it. I mean who can pass THE Michael Rojas?-

He just laughed. -looks like we are here- he said pulling up to the parking lot.

-oh joy.- I said sarcastically. I got off the car and grabbed my bag and sketch pad.

-sarcasm isnt really needed right now- he said grabbing his stuff. - it doesnt help you make friends.-

I rolled my eyes and walked beside him as we headed toward the office to grab our schedules. Ive heard stories about California teens. All tall, beautiful and tan. Complete opposite of me. They had the best clothes, perfect hair, and flawless makeup [AN: ok not completely true..but its for plot purposes lol] I felt out of place as I walked through the halls. You could already begin to hear the whispers and giggles as we both walked down the hall. Oooooo the new kids! Whatever. I rolled my eyes as some girls stared at me. They probably cant figure out how me and my brother could even be standing next to each other. Even at my old school people didnt even know we were related.

Then I saw him. He was leaning against his locker. Calm and collected. His big brown eyes caught me looking at him. He flashed me a breath taking smile that you see out of a movie. I blushed and quickly looked down.

-you ok?- I heard my brother ask.
-uhm.yeah..fine. Can we just get out schedules already?-
-geez And here I thought you were going to be difficult.-

So there is the preview/first chapter! Tell me what you think! Im still working on it but I wanted to get one out before I actually got it going. So you tube is being annoying about posting videos so I think Im just gonna start posting this one on quizilla. Ill still make a vid but Ill put the link in the description. Ive been having a problem posting lately and quite frankly its annoying lol TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! THANK YOU!!!
