@cajuncaseydog You live near Mr. Mervis off La. Hwy 711? Last year they shot 8 specks behind his house. Had to go hunt with a man out of Thornwell to get on a good hunt. If you got geese all season long you ought to ask him to hunt with you (but my guess is you have.) Anyrate, just went last week to get my calls tuned a bit. Sure hope rain comes so the rice farmers S of La. Hwy 14 can grow a crop.

@hrdluck1
the mark of an experienced guide; get them coming, blow danger call until the hunters give you bigger tips to get them in closer. Then you call them in confidently. (Joking) :)

how do yall set up the decoys?
300wsmcarder 5 months ago
@300wsmcarder The video doesn't show it but most of the goose hunting is done over a flooded duck pond with robo ducks, so we have only about 6 floating decoys. When we hunt the muddy fields, we have no cover to hide so it's difficult to get the geese to come down lower, which is why we taken high shots..... in this particular video. Some of our other hunts which we didn't record, are being hunted in better terrain, which makes it much easier to get the geese in lower. We'll use 6 decoys.
