G'day all! I recently came to the realization that it's been almost an entire year since I've recorded a bass cover and youtubed it! So, here's one to break the bass cover drought! :P Possibly Living Colour's most popular song, and one which my Funk/Jazz trio project is covering at the moment. I love the simplistic yet very inventive bass line that Doug plays in this song. I used my Yamaha BB415 bass, with the neck pickup soloed (as the bass tone in the song has a very P-bassish tone) running into my Eden WT-400 head with flat EQ and then DI straight into my soundcard. Hope you all enjoy this as much as I did recording it! :) P.S, sorry about the bad video quality - I used the front camera on my iPhone.

@Tommorichards Spot on Tom! Red and white electrical tape (Maltese flag colours) purely to stop the strings hitting the exposed pole pieces when I play aggressively.

@MrAlkides Looks like he covered the exposed poles of the pickups in red and white electrical tape.
Could be for aesthetic reasons, or to stop the string hitting the exposed piece, or both.
