@sirenaleizabeth or maybe she doesn't have a weight advantage. I may have confused her with someone else. anyways, i hope that helped though. i've seen a lot of black belt matches where it's all technique. It's pretty cool though.

@GrandUltimateMe Luanna (the one on the bottom most of the time, is working to break her down, trying to possibly sweep her. Beatriz is not only a black belt as well, but she does have a weight advantage over Luanna. She is probably expecting Beatriz to defend a triangle or choke quite easily, so she wants to focus on technique.Position before submission. That's my guess.It seems that luanna is actually trying to shoot for a triangle, and if you look around 2:50 - 3:00, she almost gets omoplata.

@norsebattleaxe I was being incredibly sarcastic in my response to @GrandUltimateMe. He insinuated that it's just so easy to toss up triangles - these women are top of the food chain black belts so I seriously doubt it's that easy to do even after 4 minutes. That's what my comment was stating.

@GrandUltimateMe because triangle choke holds are too easy to execute on high level black belts and that just wouldn't have made this competition much fun.

There are few things as beautiful as two high level female grapplers competing, Luanna's guard is amazing to see.

how come the one on the bottom for a while from 4mins+ doesn't do a triangle choke hold, it's there for the taking if she wanted it, for ages. Are they not allowed in this competition?
