The city of Mogadishu was almost entirely destroyed by a 20 year civil war that left thousands of people dead, and forced thousands more to flee. Now that the Al-Qaeda backed group Al-Shebab have fled the city, rebuilding work has begun to try and restore the city to its former glory. Duration: 02:10

Whatever Turkey`s aims are...it`s actually doing something on Somali grounds and taking Somali students to their universities...they`ve actually helped out more than the Arab League which Somalia is in. Those rich Arab gulf states only offer financial aid to further spread their wahhabi ideology on Somali soil by building mosques. Somalis don`t need more mosques, they need schools and hospitals. Twenty years of civil war has taught many Somalis that they can`t just wait for God. Time to move on.

Funny how they did not mention that it was Africans who made this possible.

What can they be proud of? If they were alive today and were breathing today what they would see is a people so brainwashed and so turned against each other that they have made colonialism possible all over again. Troops from Kenya, Uganda, Rawanda, Ethiopia, and worse Djibouti, which was once part of our territory known as Greater Somalia. Its a shame, the people of my generation are the way they are, without intention to do anything, without the slighest thought of sacrifice for somalia.

Somalis, keep on accepting handouts from anjabis. The Somalia I work for is a Somalia that will get eradicate its tribal mentality, that instead of asking help from anjabis helping our own ehtnic minorities who are still somalis like the bantus and reer xamar. This somalia won't be broken and divided into vassal states (Isaaqland and Pirateland) but will be one nation, one country under one leader. There will be a renewal of Somali nationalism, our forefathers (leaders of the SYL) are not proud.

You just have to see the actions of the Taliban, Al-Shabab and those nutty religious militants in Mali and that's what a Wahhabi ideology is for ya. Their laws are too excessive and backwards.

There's nothing called Wahhabi ideology. what's wrong if they building mosques ,they know that Somalis is a Muslim community and they helping us by exercise our religion in comfortable places .
Bahrain and UAE are helping us by building schools and institutions.
so be easy on them , because they are trying their best plus don't forgot they have their own problem,Somalia it's not the only country that have problems,so we have to rebuild our country and not to count in anybody.
