you could try an air pump with some tubing, the bubbles keep the eggs moving and provides oxegen in the water, goldfish, even as babies need a lot of air to thrive, you should also seperate the big tobies from the smaller fry, the small ones seem to make a good meal. The air thing is kind of like hatching brine shrimp, it keeps them moving to prevent a fungus attack from killing unhatched eggs

if you have a main tank with a bio set up like a wet dry sump just through 10 bio balls in and every 3 days take out a few cups of water with new water fish will be fine

You could try to clean up the water more. The water has some poop and stuff in there and baby goldfish(even with hundreds) can still produce A LOT of waste so you should probably add in a sponge filter and clean up the poop often. This is your first try so try again and I bet you that you will get more survivors!

I started with a few hundred babies but they gradually died off due to inexperience. I lost my patience and just left them in an outdoor tub with minimum care. These few seem to be thriving.
