Yes, both radios had same antenna using a 2:1 splitter

i just checked the price of the 5000 against the k3, i think its comparing apples to oranges, i would hope the ft was better than the k3 but i still like ur video

This is really not a good comparison, most of what your hearing is speaker response differences, its obvious the 5K has more lower end response due to the speaker and eq settings, now run the K3 with the outboard 5K speaker and use a similar K3 speaker on the 5K , or simply switch the speaker between the two ..... now lets compare , I think the differences will be quite small considering the price spread.

Both radios are excellent, for me the K3 is the best for cw and the best fort ssb is the FT-5000.

For the test they must to have the same equalization.

is 5000 better than 9000 ? 9000 is more expensive i believe
