I am trying to send them to Race Course Road in Freetown Sierra Leone. I have sent, I believe, two letters in the past three years and I have not heard back. Hopefully it is as you said, still in transit. I just hope that they get the letters. I am going to France this summer and was going to try sending a letter from Paris. Do you think it might make it take a shorter amount of time or perhaps just because it doesn't have to go over an ocean it may have a better chance of getting their?

I have a feeling it's the Sierra Leone postal service that's the weak link in the chain so it probably doesn't matter where you send it from. All you can do is try and hope. Good luck.

Hi! I was born in Sierra Leone and have a Father and Sister whom were left there after I was adopted. I was just curious if you knew if they had a postal service? and how reliable is it? I have tried to send letter, but have received none back. I am just curious to know if it's not getting to them or perhaps they don't have the means to send one back. Thanks!

Hi, There is a postal service but reliability and speed cannot be guaranteed. I know of a package of books that was sent from Canada to Makeni (north of freetown) that took 9 months to get there. So your letters may still be in transit. Where were you sending your letters? I will cross my fingers for you that they arrive safe and sound.
