I hope if they do bring back Red Dwarf that they experiment with bringing Ace Rimmer (as in our old Rimmer) back,

i thought that ace rimmer would come back to see whats happening in his dimension and he would save new rimmer and reunite him with the crew in the mirror universe

I've been thinking that for years, he would need a side-kick, maybe Arnold Rimmer becoming Ace with Kryten as a side-kick.
Arnold leaves to become Ace runs into Kryten from another dymention and they go off together,
Okay I admit I've thought WAY too much about this.

I don't think so Chris Barrie left the cast to do his own show 'The Brittas Empire' so I'm not sure why he would want more coverage.
