The spin-offs of Nike's "Rise" commercial featuring LeBron James continue to flow out of the woodwork. This time, a most-excellent mash-up of the James' spot featuring the Michael Jordan commercial "Maybe It's My Fault," arguably one of the best shoe/apparel commercials of all time.
While it obviously would have been better if Jordan's words were in response to James, the message is still very powerful. Following James' now-infamous line of questioning, "What should I do?" we have Jordan's voice stating that "maybe I led you to believe it was easy, when it wasn't."
"That my game was build on flash and not fire," Jordan's voice continues. "Maybe it's my fault that my failure gave me strength, that pain was my motivation."
"Maybe I destroyed the game," Jordan says. "Or maybe you're just making excuses."
And maybe this mash-up is the greatest "response" of all time.
