Although carying West Midlands Travel livery this MCW Metrrider was actually being operated by it's subsidiary Central Coachways Ltd. As Central Coachways did not have refuelling facilities at it's garage it's minibuses had to refuel at Key Fuels, just off route 330 as seen in this video.

  • No Mercedes engine.

The MCW version was only available with 2 Cummins versions and 2 Perkins versions. With a choice of manual or automatic gearbox.

  • These must have the Mercedes engine.

  • A Janine Cuthbertson Bus, hence JCB. Ugly.

  • Rare footage of a manual gearbox Metrorider - any more?!

  • Can you show the underframe of the MCW Metrorider?

  • With all the daft health and safety laws nowadays-this practice would probably not be allowed!!!
