Longest documented clash between rocky mtn bighorn rams was 25 hours 20 minutes...

when they pause between butts, each ram is 'presenting' his horns to the other, giving his opponent a good look at the hardware that delivered the blow

rams constantly size each other up and use dominance displays to assert status... when that is challenged, it time for a good dust up...they will continue dominance displays throughout the battle until one dude figures he's had about enough

its a bighorn sheep and if it continuesly fight each other that would pretty much kill it
