  • dude...i've been a lineman for 33 years...i climbed poles everyday the first 15 years .....i was "tooling up" before you were born...

  • Highly dangerous job. Do linemen get paid good wages vs the risks they take?

  • not bad...20 to 30 an hour in general....

  • cant tell ya how many times i've applied for lineman apprenticeship at our remc. very hard to squeeze in there! been in hvac for 10 yrs now

  • timming is everything, pull doesn't hurt either.....i had 23 years experence and had a hard time getting in.....good luck....

  • i was a lineman for32 years and i earned every cent i got.

  • Thanks Warner, I started in our line dept 1971, Now i'm a trainer. They say a man who loves his job never works a day in his life. I've had a good life, you've reminded me.

  • LMAO @:58 BBBBZZZZTTTTTT!!! Something get shocked?

  • Nice video

I'm a lineman in Ontario for 20 yrs

One thing I noticed in vid

Was a lineman moving conductor on bucket

Instead of using live line jib

    That's a no-no

  • @jlineman2008 Bucket babies is what we call them. Everyone knows the hard work is done by the tree workers to make it easy for the lineman. Are they goona clear the downed trees in the f@#$^^% weather. Hell no. And then you have to be thier groundman afterwards for half the pay...... Just poking fun at you guys. You do a hard job and its appreciated.

  • I praise those who do that job. In that video it looks like it's probably nice out. But it really must suck working on lines when it's pouring rain, or when it's 30 below, or even when it's like +30 out that can't be fun either. I work for the phone company, and the phone line men are quite busy during storms, fixing up phone lines and such meanwhile customers are yelling. They have no idea the work that goes on in the background.
