69 Opposites Attract

The perennial global question is:
- Can a man and a woman really just be good friends?

popcorn flicks new indie film is based on this simple question.
There is 600 million youth in India; with change in societal norms particularly after 2003; they are confused regarding this question.

The idea popped up when the director and screenwriter, Amit R Agarwal, attended the New York Film Festival. He invited a female friend. She came with a male friend of French origin. As soon as she left for the rest room; the first thing her male-friend asked Amit was "are you two just friends or there is more to it?" Amit was appalled, more so because it came from a man supposed to be from a liberal society!

This incident took shape into an idea and it was sounded to men and women from various walks and strata of society: Morgan Stanley, Honda, NYU, Virgin Atlantic, Heathrow Terminal, Amity, Airtel, Citibank, IIM, IMT, IIT, Loyola, Mithibai, Miranda House, NIIT, Symbiosis, SRCC, St. Stephens, Taj, KPMG, Starbucks.
