Telomeres Video

This was our Final Project for 2007 Holy Trinity High School AP Biology with Mr. Hettrich. The use of Lord of the Rings soundrack and some spiderman and the simpson themes was to make it more interesting and help follow the slides without dosing off and mind drifting. Yes there are typos, and at certain cases music is not 100% in sync.. I spend 2weeks making and editing this thing, going slide by slide through windows movie maker. Thats on top of all the research and data collecting that went into this. So it's not surprising some errors slid by me.
We just covered telomeres in my biochemistry class last week. 3 years later, with more knowledge, I'm proud to say that theis video still holds up well. May be I'll make a sequel this summer adding some of the extra stuff I learned, like that telomerases uses its own RNA sequence and is a combination of RNA and Protein...we'll see.
Hopefully someone can use this for their own project or just to get the basics of what telomeres are about. Doing this project 3 years ago is one of the main reasons why I'm a Biochemistry major right, really exciting stuff.
