This is state number 10 on my 50 state lifetime joooooourney! My goal was to hit 10 states in 2010 so I'm happy to have achieved that goal! It's not the most exciting town in the world, but I was only there for a little while, and I believe most of the "cool" stuff was near the Broken Bow Lake (which was a bit of a drive). I wanted to start my drive home as soon as possible, so I just stopped downtown, got some food at a grocery store, and went home. Saw a LOT of po' dunk Texas on my drive back! It was a 7 hour adventure that I wish I had a travel companion for! It's in those times that I wish I had an infinite amount of time and money to just stop wherever looks interesting. No, I had

  • how do you decide which towns to visit? have you done missouri yet? i want to road trip the oregon trail SOOOO badly. stop at all the historical sites =) i also want to travel and meet minority/disenfranchised people around the US (the world if possible), interview them and do some social science research. lucky you for getting to travel! =)

  • @youcancallmethedude I usually just pull up google maps and find out what city is a feasible driving distance from where I'm currently staying (Houston, TX for about one more week) and I just take a day trip there! I'll normally look it up on Yelp or other sites and check if there's any cool places to see. Anybody could do what I'm doing, I just save up a tiny bit of money for gas and food, and go on a day off of work! Your goal sounds AWESOME!! Missouri is a goal for 2011-2012 :-)

  • Broken Bow Ok. The #1 spot for deficating in public. I've been spreading my feces to the public here all my life, and it's still just as exciting to poop in the middle of the highway than it has ever been.
