  • I don't, it would be very naive to believe that the colouring-in department could tackle the more serious issues of this planet after completing their college training.

  • I think people want to be told how to live their lives. They don't just follow advertising they emulate their friends and family they admire, their heroes in films and TV. It's not healthy and I'm not defending advertising - but this film does suggest it could be used as a force for good. I just hope the ad folk listen to it.

  • sure that's great that nike inspired people to fix their lives. but, really, what does it say about our culture that an advert is the catalyst that got someone to change their life?

  • One example given in the film in Nike's 'Just do it." which apparantly, although just an ad slogan, has inspired people, to divorce their abusive husbands, change their crappy jobs and start to live more healthily. So, it can be used for good, even if the aim is to inspire you, change your life and buy Nike trainers.

  • i hope one day creative people will lead this world:P

  • All due respect to the parties in the documentary and their work. However, I noticed no young creative talent interviewed on their take on today's media and marketplace. I understand the need for historical perspective, but C'mon, the creatives showcased were tagged with campaigns from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Maybe the younger creatives were not featured in the trailer but they should have been. In most cases, they are the ones banging it out in a conference room for these octagenerians.

  • exactly. creativity is great! BUT, what does advertising DO? what does it solve? and where is it leading us? and why are we following? I say, let's use creativity to go somewhere else.

  • He says, gleefully, "I think creativity can solve anything, anything, ANYTHING". It's rich coming from an advert on advertising! What have you solved?
