  • as a former airborne trooper, i find it offensive when a dnl wears an airborne tab.

  • The singer is the grandson of TEC5 Joe McGinley, F/501 101st Airborne who was wounded in Bastogne 1/4/1945 and still living today. Chris is wearing his grandfather's original M42 jumpsuit with the airborne tab, which I think is OK.

  • Since the end of the video says "dedicated to TEC5 Joe McGinley", when did he died ?

    Greetings and tribute from France.

  • Joe McGinley 82, veteran of F/501PIR, is still living and was the inspiration for this ballad. His grandson, Nashville singer Chris Winward, is seen in this video wearing his grandfather's original jump uniform. Both appear in the 90 minute documentary, "A Paratrooper's Story" available on Amazon.

  • Great Video! What's the name of the song!

  • The song is "My Brothers and Me" by Chris Winward, a country artist in Nashville. More on Chris at ChrisWinward, com. He is the grandson of TEC5 Joe McGinley, F/501 101st Airborne who was wounded in Bastogne 1/4/1945 and still living today. Chris is also wearing his original jumpsuit in the video. The song was written and performed for a new documentary about his grandfather and fellow 101st troopers called, "A Paratrooper's Story", currently selling on Amazon. Thanks for your interest.
