A clip of me doing fire stix from like, '02 or '03 (similar to http://www.crystalstix.com). I work at the crystal stix tent at the MN Renaissance Festival, giving free lessons and selling these (except not on fire).
Yes, I know how to spell sticks, no, this isn't a plug for crystal stix.
--UPDATE-- For those who are asking, I got my pair from: http://www.hotstix.biz/. They are modified crystal stix, more or less, which are different than devil sticks by a long shot. These have grippy coating, allowing you to have a lot more control.

Yeea grat esspecealy the end^^only thing could have been better is the time... next time you should do this at night... or in the late evening hours then the effect is much more impressive

do hot stix feel similar to crystal stix in play? or do they take some getting used to after using crystal stix for a few years?

They're a little different. The thing that threw me off the most is that they are a little heavier, probably due to the material used on the ends (the wicks/metal tassles/etc.). Since they are a little heavier, you have to provide a bit more control so they don't go flying off when you're doing spins and so on. Tricks like the infinity are a little more difficult.

wow this is awesome. ive been doing crystal stix for a few years and my whole family jokes about me lighting them on fire. now i know what it looks like, lol

You are pretty good dude. I havent picked of my sticks in quite a while but the Ren Fest is making its way to Texas again so I need to brush off the dust and get going. Cool video!

Thanks- I'd say I'm okay, but there are so many people I've worked with that are SO much better than I am. I recently got a set of doubles (with the wick-type material on the end). My goal is to do doubles while skateboarding, blindfolded... which I probably won't get around to until I'm like 60; but hey, that'll just make it more interesting, right?
