Since this video was taken, we no longer use a heat gun to make the final bend. Intead, we simply crimp the inside edge a second time, and the panel will bend the rest of the way without any difficulty.
That's true, thanks for the tip. Since making this video I also realized that it's completely unnecessary to use a heat gun as shown here. Instead, I re-compress the inner side of the fold , which allows the foam to go around the corner without a problem..
Using tape will sometimes tear off the film on the surface of the foam. But it's not a bad idea (you could use mainter's masking tape, which comes off easily). Thanks for your comment.

if you put tape at outer side of bend, you can bent as much as you want without braking it.
