Barolbs Town Fountain FAQ- 4.0

Q: How do you get the Town Fountain?

A: To get the Town Fountain in your town you must donate in the order of the Town Additions. First go to town hall and speak to Pelly or Phyliss and select Town Fund, then donate 200,000 bells (200K) to town hall. After doing so then wait 7 days till you receive the Town Addition and then proceed to go back to town hall to donate 400,000 Bells (400K) for the Town Fountain.

Q: Can I donate for the Town Fountain first?

A: Unfortunately no, you cannot do this. You must donate to the Town Fund in this order only:

1) Extra Bridge- 200,000 Bells (Town Vote on Location)
2) Town Fountain- 400,000 Bells
3) Windmill or Lighthouse- 1,000,000 Bells (Town Vote)
Total: 1.6 Million Bells

Q: Can I just donate 200,000 Bells after I receive the Bridge?

A: The 200,000 Bells you first donated DOES NOT carry over for the payment of future Town Additions. In total you must donate 1.6 Million bells to gain all three Town Additions.

Q: What kind of axe can I use?

A: Any quality of a regular axe. (A new Regular axe could be used or a nearly broken Regular axe). Gold and silver axes cannot be used. When attempting to throw them in you will be unable to.

Q: How do you throw an axe into the Fountain?

A: When standing in front of the Town Fountain, press A or swing the wiimote to toss the axe into the fountain.

Q: Who is Serena?

A: Serena is the goddess of your Town Fountain. She will be the one you speak to when attempting to get a gold or silver axe. There is also a statue of her in the Citys Fountain.

Q: How many questions are there? (Do Not Take As A Definite Answer!)

A: There are 4 questions she can ask you upon throwing your axe into the fountain. But one of the questions cannot be continued and your axe will automatically be taken away.

Q: What could happen when trying to get a Gold/Silver axe from Serena?

A: 4 Things could occur. Serena could give you a Gold axe, she could give you a Silver axe, she could take your Regular axe away or should could return your Regular axe.

Q: Are there any right or wrong answers to her questions?

A: The first question you are given could be answered in multiple ways, but only for questions 1, 2, & 4. For those questions there is a right way to answer, for question 3, there is no answers to give.

Q: How many times can I try to get a Gold or Silver axe from Serena?

A: Once a day only but you can try every day of the year to try and get one.



Extras:

Q: What do the Gold & Silver axes do and what are the differences in them?

A: The silver axe is unbreakable compared to the regular axe.

The gold axe, just like the Silver axe is also unbreakable but the gold axe swings at a faster rate than the Regular & Silver axe.

Q: Can I throw in other items into the Fountain?

A: Only axes out of the tools section can be thrown into the Fountain.

Q: Ive heard that the Fountain is 500,000 bells, not 400,000 bells. So your faq is wrong!

A: I believed it was 500,000 Bells as well a while ago but with a bit of digging in and testing from users, it is in fact 400,000 Bells. The Official Prima guide has a few errors in it; one of them includes the amount to donate to the Town Fund when donating for the Fountain.

Q: What else can axes be used for besides cutting down trees & tossing them into the Fountain?

A: The axes can also be used on the money rock. All axes work when trying to use it but the max you can gain with using it with the axes is the same as with the Regular and Gold shovel, 8,100 Bells.

Q: How do you get that many Bells!?

A: There are multiple ways to getting bells. Some easy ones that you could do on a regular basis are: Money Rock, selling identified Fossils, Fishing & Bug Catching. Its a long road to getting that many bells so I wish you luck :)

TO GET THE FOUNTAIN you have to donate 500,000 bells but before you get the fountain you get a bridge but thats if you pay 200,00 bells. ONLY PAY 200,000 bells for the bridge, then PAY 500,000 other wise you'll pay more bells and only get the bridge!
