Suikoden - Theme of Sadness (piano improvisation)

This is the last of the videos I recorded a few weeks ago (I did them all at once, which is why I'm wearing the same dress^^)... it's the "Theme of Sadness" from the original Suikoden. Suikoden is one of the lesser known jrpgs, but one that I hold very dear to my heart. It's funny because when I first started playing I kept thinking, "yeah yeah, empire, rebels, been there done that..." But then about an hour into the game I realized that I was completely drawn into the story and already incredibly attached to several of the characters. The game's music is also very beautiful (and composed by a fellow female composer named Miki Higashino).

Do you have a favorite Suikoden character? Mine is definitely Gremio.

@ashanev I feel the same way... I got so drawn in to some of the characters and their stories that I still feel for them when I hear the music (people like Gremio, Viktor and Flik, etc.)

Hmm i never played the original Suikoden...

I just had Suikoden II and up. Maybe i should try the original one? i guess so...

Yeh, the days of when the best games existed, has now passed. Games with love, fantasy, sadness, feelings, truth, they made you feel something, like in Suikoden 2 with u and your best friend and how it turned out from start to the end. Same as Suikoden 1 with ur father etc, how u build up ur castle, recruit your best friends and those who care for you, etc.

What has happened to all this?......
