This is the first time that I was able to keep it in the air at all. Been playing with RealFlight G3.5 now for a couple of weeks. It should be required before anyone buys a Blade CP. Big crash in the middle, which broke the landing gear, only slightly damaged the rotors themselves.

  • I can honestly say, after flying a TREX all summer - and now a nitro Raptor 50... don't get a Blade CP. Maybe the Blade 400 is better, it should be because of the belt drive tail. But the CP's tail is useless.

  • If you start with a trainer heli like the Axe EZ 4 channel, you'll get the hang of the flight controls and when you buy something like an Axe CP or Blade CP, you'll already be a decent pilot and all that'll be left for you to do is get used to the way the new heli flies.

  • You're totally correct. This was a terrible heli to start with. The tail motor is unusable. I'd recommend the CX2 or EZ coaxial rotors.... or a T-REX and a simulator.

  • You're doing better than I am so far... I've been in the sim for a month and still didn't get the Blade off the ground the first couple times. Still hoping to get a 30 second hover before letting anyone near me with a video camera! Only lost one set of rotors so far and a tail shaft bearing...

  • haha - no this is the first time that I got it up in the air period without a crash! This took weeks to get to the first flight. However now I'm flying a T-REX 450, hovering nose in , flying really nice figure 8's... and getting ready to get a 600 Nitro I think.

  • at 1:55 its not a plane its a chopper but good flight.

  • People have no idea how hard this is at first. It took me forever to learn how to hover!!

  • trex all the way may be more expensive but cheaper if u crash and blade is expensive kinda and when u crash the blade i fined alot of things break trex is more durable and flies better

  • a the blade 400 is kinda bad to i watch them fly all the time in my town and they fly like shit my trex first flight can fly without me even touchin the sticks but there is a trex 450 and 250 that should be out now i think

  • I'm thinking he flies planks.

  • Oh, all it needs is a tail mod, such as dual motors, direct drive motor, or brushless motor. I fly the Trex, the Blade, and a King V2. They're all fun.

  • You did great. I figure, if someone can learn to fly on a CP-- then they'll be able to fly anything! You were flying in some wind no less-- ballsy! :)

  • The first time i got the balade cp pro...i was ready for 3d and could do flips with NO 3d EXPERIENCE! I just had flown my coco lama v3 like 40 times =P

  • gah, I got mine like 2 weeks ago and maybe this is a bit late... but for some reason e-flite adjusts the pitch weird and it doesnt allow the helicopter to fly high at full throttle... Adjust the pitch and put it to 0 degrees. i.e. make sure the bototm of the blades are parallel to the flat floor.

  • I agree, the Cp is not much fun, absolutely no stability and no tail authority. Trex is where its at. The Blade 400 to me looks like a cheaper crappier version of the Trex 450, but surley flies better than the Cp Pro.
