Video for my final project in Teorias de la Comunicacion, with Professor Jimmy Torres
This is An Educated Guess.
In some manner, the way the digitalization of the media has taken place in our lives has made human civilization evolve. Information is no longer analog. No one goes to the library to look for information anymore. Instead, they go to wikipedia, get a good idea of what the information they need is about, and if they need more depth, they consult the references. The microdigitalization of resources enables the individual to have access to the information they need, no matter what is it's nature. The convergence of the mediums has been revolutionized through the internet. The newspaper, the radio, and the television are slowly being replaced by the ultimate outpost for all these media outlets in such a way that it has reached a broader market audience in a fraction of the time it took the others. This is presented in the viral video DID YOU KNOW?, which informs of the rapidly changing world we live in. We are living in exponential times. The amount of information set forth every year is more than the amounts produced in the past 5000. What does this all mean?
How does technology change the medium? People view technology as a trend, because it is a trend, but it also an evolution of humanity as we know it. People don't utilize information the way they used to. We're not book-smart. Instead, we're index smart. We use our brain as an index. We do no memorize vast amounts of information, but instead know where to find them instantaneously. In Michael Wesch's The Machine Is Us/ing Us, Wesch represents the way that Web 2.0, or the worlwide web as we know it, has become something more than just an outlet for information. The convergence of the medium has also led to a convergence of people and ideas and information that would have otherwise never been available. Through technology, information is made available to us in devices of ordinary use, like cell phones. The exchange of information, and more importantly, the facilitation of the exchange of information has changed how we think, how we process, how we talk.

If you start compiling your video presentation with statistics, surveys, and other studies, you'd very well be on your way to making a documentary. I liked, even though i had no sound. Props
