Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and the cast of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time appeared in London last night for the World Premiere of the film.

In a world first, the event was held at the Westfield centre. Hosted by Alex Zane and Sarah Cawood, the premiere included a spectacular performance by Freerunning team '3RUN' which was overseen by the 'King of Parkour' David Belle.

Other cast, crew, and guests in attendance included Sir Ben Kingsley, Toby Kebbell, Richard Coyle, Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Director Mike Newell as well as thousands of fans.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time opens in UK cinemas on the 21st May.

From the team that brought the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME, an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia. A rogue prince (JAKE GYLLENHAAL) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (GEMMA ARTERTON) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time - a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

Prince of Persia is directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) with a cast that includes SIR BEN KINGSLEY and ALFRED MOLINA, and a screenplay by Doug Miro & Carlo Bernard from a screen story by Jordan Mechner and Boaz Yakin, PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME is in UK cinemas from May 21st.

Why can't the caption guy admit he's rude for spelling Toby K's name wrong...duhhhh

  • 1.Gemma Arterton really stands out as a unique beauty; wish she gets on well.

2.The way the caption guy spelled Tony Kebbell's name wrong was just hilariously dumb and incredibly rude. Quit drinking when you're doing words job. I do like Tony K very much as Prince Garsiv and I eagerly want to punch that slip-minded TV worker despite his apology.

    3. Learning Parkour from David Belle is just wonderful!! But he do can communicate in English, right?

P.S. Is that David Gandy at 0:40?

  • @VelkanXIII Freerunning isn't a copy it's the exact same thing with a different name, David Belle does Parkour, but yet he does flips this does not mean he is Freerunning. Freerunning is not the addition of flips but rather the addition of freedom of movement, expression rather than just the quickest most efficient route from point A to B.

Even parkour is not that efficient generally as just straight up running would be quicker lol. Tbh the best name was the original l'art du deplacement! :D

  • If a movie based on the game Assassin's Creed is made, David Belle should play the role of Altair.

  • david belle expert in free running? actually its PARKOUR

    they are terribly mistaken !!

  • 1:28 foucan?

  • Lame crowd.

  • David Belle as Expert in PARKOUR ! not Freerunning...

He is the Creator of PARKOUR.

  • "David Belle - freerunning expert "........

He is expert in PARKOUR !!! he is the creator of PARKOUR....

    PARKOURRR !!!!.... not Freerunning !

    I do not believe it.....

freerunning is an copy of Parkour

the only difference is that it has flips

    something unnecessarily ... only exhibitionism.

  • This is an awesome movie!
