U.S. to Attack Venezuela?

A military agreement between the United States and Columbia has led to widespread concern in South America. Leaders want to know why the United States is trying to increase its military presence in the region.

The Colombian government says that having more US troops in the country will help fight drug trafficking and combat terrorism. Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, however, ardently opposes these plans.

He says that the military bases in Columbia will provoke conflict in Latin America. Venezuelan-American Attorney and Author Eva Golinger joins RT's Dina Gusovsky from Caracas via skype to discuss this matter.

I agree wholeheartedly with 'joshgsan' - namely you should do MUCH more research, and stop listening to the main stream media as it seems obvious that's where you're getting your information! Regarding Chavez's attitude towards Obama... heck, most Americans and much of the world was taken in by his smooth talking... but have now (fortunately) been awakened to all of the lies.

in another note this woman keeps barking about the us trying to control the resources of venezuela, what resources? the oil, is that what they call resources? i mean why care about venezuelas 4degreed oil when the us has an agreement with the Iraq government to secure oil from them in return for protection against terrorism in that country, the UA is always happy to do business with the us, and this douche lady says that the us is worry about the control of south America? not likely.

and where in hell does this lady gets gets her facts, nothing was mention on that, she said 10b dollars! if there was such of expense tax payers and the American media would be all over it, I mean a 10 b dollar operation is not for funding 100 American soldiers it is to support a small army of American troops, for some one to say such number must have some sort of prove that this is indeed the money pour in to that border which of course i don't think is true.

All i have to say is that Hugo Chavez is a complete imbecile, every time he says some incoherent thing he needs to get slap across the face. he was all buddy with Obama at first now he is taking all kinds of stupid crap, does this seem like a good leader? I don't think so, why the fuzz about Colombia re-enforcing their borders? Venezuela has tides with Russia and Iran but for some reason is not OK to seek aid for the US? call me crazy but i think that Colombia is with in his rights to do so.
