Yes it works really well, you just need to rub the brush around a bit to load the color pigment on your brush.
I have made some major improvements since I made this video. I am planing on making an update video some day soon.
Look out for it.

Are you talking about the vinyl tubing? if so, you can use just about anything that can contain paint. Recently I made a paint kit using square tubing. You can find it at a hobby shop. They sell 1/4" square tubing, It's cheap and easy to cut with an x-acto blade.
